The Opinion Archive

Your takes are
permanent.
Your mind isn't.

Post opinions that can't be deleted — only revisited. Every six months, we ask: do you still hold this? Your profile becomes a living record of how your thinking has changed.

Making thinking legible, one reckoning at a time

01

Post an opinion

Write what you believe right now — up to 500 characters, tagged by category. It enters the archive permanently. No deleting, no pretending.

02

Time passes

At 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years, your post resurfaces with one question: do you still hold this?

03

Reckon with it

Still — you stand by it. Evolved — your view has nuanced. Recanted — you've changed your mind. Each response becomes part of the chain.

What changing your mind looks like

Food

Air fryers are just small convection ovens with better marketing. There is literally no reason to own one if you have a real oven.

Evolved · Dec 2025
OK, the speed factor is real. I still think they're overhyped, but reheating pizza in 4 minutes at a quality level that matches a real oven? I'll give it that. It's not "just a small oven" — the form factor matters for quick tasks.
Recanted · Jun 2026
I bought one. Use it every day. The convenience-to-quality ratio is genuinely different from a full oven. Past me was being a snob. The marketing IS good, but so is the product.
"Changing your mind is admirable. Pretending you never held the old view is not."
