Effective: April 17, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StillHold application and website ("Service"), operated by NorseHorse ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using StillHold, you agree to these Terms.
StillHold is designed around a fundamental principle: opinions are permanent. When you post content on StillHold, it enters a public archive and cannot be deleted by you. Posts can only be revisited through the reckoning process (Still, Evolved, or Recanted). This is the core mechanic of the product, and by using StillHold you acknowledge and accept it.
The only exceptions to permanence are: content removed by moderation for Terms violations, content removed as part of full account deletion, and content removed pursuant to valid legal process.
You must be at least 17 years old to use StillHold. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to request verification at any time.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide a valid email address and verify it before accessing posting features. You may not create multiple accounts, impersonate other individuals, or use automated tools to interact with the Service without authorization.
You retain ownership of all content you post on StillHold. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and make your content available through the Service. This license ends when your content is removed (via account deletion or moderation action).
You may not post content that:
Controversial, unpopular, or uncomfortable opinions are explicitly permitted. StillHold moderates behavior, not beliefs. The line is drawn at content that directly harms individuals or violates law.
StillHold uses artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic) for content moderation and optional writing suggestions. AI moderation reviews post and reckoning text for Terms violations. Only the text of your post is sent to the AI — no personal identifying information. AI moderation decisions can be appealed. Details on AI usage are available in Settings → Privacy → AI Moderation.
We enforce these Terms through an escalating system:
Severe violations (doxxing, CSAM, credible threats of violence) may result in immediate permanent ban and law enforcement referral.
We commit to reviewing all content reports within 24 hours. AI handles clear-cut cases immediately; ambiguous cases are reviewed by a human.
If your content is filtered or your account is suspended, you may submit an appeal explaining why you believe the action was incorrect. Appeals are reviewed within 72 hours. The appeals process is accessible in-app and at stillhold.app/appeals.
You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Account → Delete Account or via stillhold.app/delete-account. Account deletion triggers a 30-day cooling-off period during which you can cancel by logging in. After 30 days, your personal data is permanently removed. Reckoning chains referencing your posts will show "[deleted user]" — the chain structure is preserved but your content is removed.
Your email address is retained after deletion solely to prevent impersonation of your former identity.
The StillHold name, logo, and application are the property of NorseHorse. You may not use our trademarks without written permission. User-generated content remains the property of the users who created it.
StillHold is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, data preservation beyond our stated policies, or the accuracy of any content posted by users.
We are not responsible for the opinions expressed by users. StillHold is a platform for recording and revisiting opinions — we do not endorse any particular viewpoint.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NorseHorse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of StillHold. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, during the free period, is zero).
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email and in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
